Excellent article, Jeff. As I’ve finally found this path, I now realize how essential connection truly is. What I once called ‘independence’ was really just avoidance.
Thanks Rob, glad it resonated with you. As you well know, it’s a “both/and,” not “either/or” world. Everyone, everything is already connected, it’s just the mind’s filters that prevent us from seeing that sometime.
Thanks for this, Jeff. I have seen the power of dependence up close and personal as my wife slowly disappears from Alzheimer’s. A strong social network has been essential to my caregiving, and to my own health. The Interdependence of human beings is so obvious that many do not think about it. You have helped your subscribers do that.
Thanks, Jeff. I just published a short memoir about my wife's illness. You might want to read it for insight on the power of love... and how such a tragedy is not all bad. "Into the Mist: An Alzheimer's Journey."
If only there was more of this in the current American fabric.
Best we can do is role model the way for others.

Thanks Paul, and I’m so sorry you and your wife are experiencing such a difficult disease. All my best to you.

I sure will, thanks Paul.
